Webinar Description: This presentation provides a general overview of the fiduciary provisions of ERISA as they apply to group health plans, and how to avoid problems in administering a group health plan. The main topics discussed include:
Speaker Bio: Heidi L. Rhodes has been a Benefits Advisor with the Employee Benefits Security Administration, Cincinnati Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Labor since 2014. She provides technical assistants to participants and plan administrators of private- sector employee benefit plans to understand their rights and responsibilities under Title 1 of ERISA. She procures voluntary compliance from employers, develops, and performs public outreach events throughout the tristate area.
Ms. Rhodes holds a Bachelor degree in Organizational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky, and an Associates degree in Paralegal Studies from Community College of Baltimore, Maryland. She also has the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
